At the start of the holy season of Lent the blessing and distribution of ashes will take place during the Masses at 9:00 AM, 12 Noon and 7:30 PM. There will also be a prayer service and distribution of ashes at 4:00 PM
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
March 1, 2017 at 9:00 am
Stations of the Cross will be prayed following the 9:00 AM every Saturday during Lent. All are encouraged to participate in this Lenten practice of The Way of the Cross. Also, Stations of the Cross with Mass in Malayalam and English takes place in the church on Sunday evenings in Lent beginning at 5:30 PM. The Indian Apostolate invites all parishioners to attend and pray.

The Nocturnal Adoration Society conducts Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 7:00 PM in the church. A Holy Hour will begin at 8:00 PM and conclude with benediction. All are invited to spend time before the Blessed Sacrament during Lent.

The Home School Association hosts its first Auction Sale of fabulous gifts and packages including guest passes to Disney World, gift certificates, getaways, sports surprises and much more. Admission includes featuring finger foods, wine, soda and dessert. Tickets are $15.00 per adults and may be purchased at the School and Parish Offices. Going once . . . going twice . . . SOLD!”

RITE OF SENDING FOR ELECTION

Congratulations to our catechumens and candidates who will be participate in the Rite of Sending for Election and Continuing Conversion and later in the day be called to the Easter sacraments by Bishop Di Marzio, Bishop of Brooklyn, during the Rite of Election at the former Bishop Ford High School in Brooklyn.

Boys and girls will celebrate for the first time God’s forgiveness through the sacrament of penance and reconciliation. We thank the teachers, catechists and parents for preparing the children for this special occasion in their young lives.

Commemorating Saint Patrick’s Day a traditional Irish breakfast will be served with scrambled eggs, home fries, Irish “banger” sausages, Irish soda bread, fried tomatoes, coffee, tea and much more. Featuring LIVE entertainment with musician Francis Lees there will be raffles, 50/50 chances. Tickets are $12.00 per person and $5.00 for children (16 years and under.)
